Art & Music
Dale’s watercolor and ink paintings are inspired by everyday scenes of nature, people and vacated spaces from the places he is living. He currently lives on Madeline Island in Lake Superior and has painted an extensive series of the seasons and moods of Madeline. His work is bold, full of color and contrast, and combines a looseness with intentional detail. Dale studied with two AWS, NWS watercolor artists at the Madeline Island School for the Arts, and his work has been featured in galleries in Wisconsin and Indiana.
In addition to being an artist, Dale plays the harmonica and has been a part of vintage country band “Moonshine Mason and the Rot Gut Gang” and Sandy Shugart’s “January Band,” and he has played blues at “The Alley” in Florida.
